KIA México seeks a seasoned General Accounting leader to oversee monthly and annual close, ensure IFRS/NIF compliance and tax regulations, and support corporate finance consolidation in Pesquería, Nuevo León, Mexico.

You will manage the accounting team, coordinate internal and external audits, and drive robust internal controls for accurate reporting across the organization.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, NIF, and local tax regulations.
• Experience in financial reporting, financial statement analysis, and accounting controls.
• Minimum 2-3 years of people management experience.
• Advanced SAP FI knowledge; SAP S/4HANA experience is highly desirable.
• Advanced English proficiency with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings with timely, accurate reporting.
• Review financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, provisions, and variance analyses.
• Ensure IFRS, NIF, SOX compliance and local tax regulations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and support cross-functional finance consolidation.
• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, setting priorities and duties.

Objective of the position

Lead the General Accounting function to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with IFRS, NIF, tax regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements while supporting business decision-making and corporate finance consolidation.

Typical Tasks

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Review financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, provisions, and variance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, NIF, SOX requirements, and local tax regulations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and act as the main contact for corporate finance consolidation and cross-functional departments.
• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, making key operational and financial decisions, setting priorities, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring achievement of departmental objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (CPA preferred) or related.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Mexican Accounting Standards (NIF), and local tax regulations.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, financial statement analysis, and accounting controls.
• Minimum 2-3 years of people management experience, demonstrating leadership and decision-making capabilities.
• Advanced SAP FI knowledge; SAP S/4HANA experience is highly desirable.
• Advanced English proficiency with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
