FEV México seeks a Functional Safety Engineer to lead safety work across Electrified Mobility, Intelligent Mobility (ADAS/AD) and Connected Mobility. The role includes creating safety plans, performing hazard analyses, and defining safety concepts, while coordinating with customers.

You will analyze safety requirements, support hardware/software development, and participate in safety reviews and audits throughout the lifecycle of multiple vehicle projects.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in EE/Mech/CS/CE or equivalent.
• 1-5 years experience in systems, software, hardware, controls, or automotive engineering.
• 1 year experience in functional safety areas.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262, ISO 21448, or IEC 61508.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain a safety plan to meet customer program timing.
• Create/review Item Definition and Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments.
• Perform/review safety analyses (FTA, FMEA, FMEDA, DFA).
• Derive safety requirements and create functional and technical safety concepts.
• Support implementation of safety requirements at hardware and software levels.
• Perform FS architecture and design reviews at system, hardware, and software levels.
• Define required tests for verification and validation of safety requirements.
• Support safety reviews, process audits and product functional safety assessments.
