Job summary
Global Connect Technologies in Monterrey, Mexico, seeks a Functional Safety Engineer (BMS) to apply ISO 26262 at the system level and drive safety in automotive battery management systems.
You will develop and implement functional safety processes, perform HARA, define safety goals, and create safety concepts and requirements, while conducting FMEA/FTA/DFA/FMEDA and ensuring traceability and verification across development stages.
Qualifications
- Experience implementing ISO 26262 at system level for automotive safety.
- Develop and review safety cases and safety concepts.
- Perform HARA, define safety goals, and verify safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop functional safety processes in alignment with ISO 26262 requirements.
- Perform Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) and define safety goals.
- Develop preliminary and functional safety concepts.
- Create technical safety concepts and define corresponding safety requirements.
- Perform and review safety analyses, including FMEA, FTA, DFA, and FMEDA.
- Ensure safety mechanisms are properly implemented and verified.
- Support testing and validation activities to confirm compliance with safety objectives.
- Maintain traceability between safety requirements and system functions.
- Prepare and maintain safety case documentation.
- Propose and implement safety-related solutions, particularly for system functions.
