Job summary

Global Connect Technologies is seeking a functional safety engineer to develop ISO 26262 compliant processes for the automotive systems domain, lead hazard analysis, and define safety goals. You will define preliminary and functional safety concepts, build the technical safety concept, and specify safety requirements, while performing and reviewing FMEA, FTA, DFA, and FMEDA.

Qualifications

• Experience developing functional safety processes aligned with ISO 26262.
• Ability to perform hazard analysis and define safety goals.
• Define preliminary and functional safety concepts.
• Develop technical safety concepts and safety requirements.
• Perform and review safety analyses (FMEA, FTA, DFA, FMEDA).
• Support test/validation to verify safety objectives.
• Ensure traceability across safety requirements and system functions.
• Compile and maintain safety case documentation.

Responsibilities

• Development of functional safety process in alignment with ISO 26262 requirements.
• Creating hazard analysis and risk assessment and the definition of safety goals.
• Defining preliminary and functional safety concepts.
• Developing the technical safety concept and defining corresponding safety requirements.
• Performing and reviewing safety analyses (FMEA, FTA, DFA, FMEDA) and ensuring proper implementation and verification of safety mechanisms.
• Supporting test and validation activities to confirm compliance with safety objectives.
• Ensuring full traceability across safety requirements and system functions.
• Compiling and maintaining the safety case documentation.
• Proposing and implementing effective safety-related solutions, particularly for system functions.
