Bluelight is a leading software consultancy expanding across the Americas. We are seeking a backend-focused engineer with 5+ years of experience to design scalable, low-latency API services on AWS and build secure, multi-tenant systems.

You will work with Node.js, TypeScript, and React, contributing to RESTful APIs, SDK integrations, and CI/CD pipelines, while collaborating across diverse teams and client projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused).
• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments.
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations.
• Professional experience with React.
• Strong testing practices, including integration tests against real databases.
• Experience working with AI coding assistants as part of daily development.
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills.
• Solid understanding of full stack development, with frontend contribution.
