Job summary

Intel Corporation in Mexico, Guadalajara is seeking a Software Development Engineer with microarchitecture expertise to develop, validate, and maintain cloud-scale fleet health software for platform monitoring and diagnostics. You will work across architecture, validation, manufacturing, and customer engineering teams to deliver fleet-ready solutions.

The role focuses on telemetry, observability, and rare root-cause analysis, leveraging Python and C/C++ in Linux environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 6+ years of combined experience in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience in Linux environments.
• Developing and debugging multithreaded software.
• Experience building solutions for server, cloud, HPC, or distributed systems.
• Working with x86 architecture and system-level software interactions.
• Experience with Agile development, requirements, unit and regression testing, and fundamentals of data structures and OS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable screening and automation software for fleet health and deployment readiness.
• Design, develop, and optimize telemetry collection, diagnostics, and health monitoring software (Python/C/C++).
• Extend frameworks and integrate libraries and infrastructure components.
• Analyze telemetry and debug data to identify defects and reliability trends.
• Reproduce, debug, and resolve platform/firmware/software issues with engineering teams.
• Conduct root-cause investigations and develop screening methodologies.
• Support validation, deployment, and in-fleet operations.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver fleet-ready solutions and drive quality improvements.
