Corning Inc. in Mexico is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the plant’s financial processes, ensure accurate reporting, and strengthen internal controls.

You will analyze expenses, assist with month-end close, prepare reconciliations, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting with cross-functional teams including Operations and Engineering. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 1–2 years of experience, knowledge of US GAAP, and proficiency in SAP, Excel,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Basic knowledge of US GAAP and financial controls.
• Experience with SAP, as well as strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with different stakeholders, including plant leadership.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in manufacturing and/or cost accounting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly and periodic closing activities, including journal entries, variance analysis, and general ledger accuracy
• Prepare account reconciliations, financial reports, and quarterly reporting packages in a timely and accurate manner
• Help maintain compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, GAAP principles, and company policies
• Partner with Finance, Operations, and Engineering to support cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives
