Omni Hotels & Resorts is opening Omni Pontoque Resort at Punta de Mita in early 2027. The Assistant Director of Finance will supervise key accounting activities, support budgeting and forecasting, and help establish financial systems and controls for pre-opening operations.

Working closely with the Director of Finance, you will drive profitability, manage month-end close, and provide strategic financial analysis across departments while ensuring compliance and high standards in a luxury

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in a finance leadership role in luxury resort/pre-opening environments.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Proven leadership abilities with ability to mentor teams and drive process improvements.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash management, tax compliance, and audit coordination.
• Proficiency with Oracle and related hospitality systems (Birchstreet, Blackline, Sun Systems, OneStream, Focus, Micros, Opera).
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays and travel as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Support finance department startup activities and onboarding of staff.
• Coordinate annual operating budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Analyze financial performance and prepare executive-level presentations.
• Develop business cases for operational initiatives and ROI analyses.
• Lead risk controls, policy development and audit readiness.
• Mentor finance managers and support succession planning.
• Represent Finance in cross-functional resort initiatives and ownership reporting.
