Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo, México, seeks an Assistant Director of Finance to lead the finance team and assist the Director of Finance in all financial operations. This role ensures policy compliance, accurate reporting, and safeguarding hotel assets while driving profitability.

You will oversee month‑end closes, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, audits, and tax compliance, while collaborating with departments to guide business decisions and maintain guest service excellence.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years in a finance leadership role within luxury hospitality or similar.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, accruals, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Proven leadership to motivate and mentor high‑performing teams.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Director of Finance in overseeing all accounting and finance operations, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
• Supervise the Finance team and foster accountability, learning, and operational excellence.
• Lead month‑end close, prepare financial statements, accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations per GAAP.
• Prepare and monitor Daily Cash Position and manage excess funds per corporate guidelines.
• Assist in annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning processes.
• Oversee preparation and timely filing of tax returns and other statutory reporting.
• Ensure accuracy of liabilities related to management, incentive, marketing fees, royalties, and related obligations.
• Review monthly and quarterly balance sheets and reconciliations; address reconciling items promptly.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with controls and audit requirements.
• Monitor expenses and financial performance, identify cost-control opportunities while maintaining service and guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate with operational departments to provide financial guidance for decision-making.
