Job description

At Blue Box Talent, we are looking for a Finance Director to join a leading international manufacturing company with operations in Mexico, based in the Bajío region.

If you have a strong track record leading financial strategy in manufacturing environments, full accountability for business P&L, and the ability to translate financial insights into strategic decisions that directly impact business performance, we want to hear from you! We are looking for a highly strategic business leader who understands market dynamics, customer demands, growth opportunities, and how to drive long-term profitability and business expansion.

  • Assume full financial accountability for the Mexican operations, including complete ownership of the P&L, profitability, financial performance, and business results across manufacturing sites.
  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with market conditions, customer requirements, business growth objectives, and long-term corporate strategy.
  • Partner with executive leadership to drive strategic business decisions, identifying opportunities for revenue growth, market expansion, operational investments, and improved profitability.
  • Lead cash flow strategy, working capital optimization, capital allocation, investment planning, and financial risk management to ensure sustainable business growth.
  • Evaluate business performance, market trends, cost structures, and financial scenarios to identify opportunities, anticipate risks, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial projections, ensuring alignment between business objectives and financial outcomes.
  • Oversee the financial performance of manufacturing operations, providing strategic direction and guidance to plant leadership while ensuring financial discipline and accountability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or related fields preferred), Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline. An MBA or postgraduate degree in Finance or Business Management is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in senior finance leadership positions within manufacturing or industrial organizations.
  • Proven and direct accountability for the full P&L of a business or company, with demonstrated responsibility for overall financial results, profitability, and business performance.
  • Strong strategic finance background, with the ability to develop and implement business strategies that directly influence growth, profitability, market positioning, and long-term value creation.
  • Experience in international manufacturing or B2B industrial environments, ideally with direct customer relationships and exposure to complex commercial and manufacturing business models.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cash flow management, working capital optimization, capital investments (CAPEX), financial planning, business expansion, and investment strategies.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate market intelligence, customer trends, and industry dynamics into actionable financial and commercial strategies.

  • A senior executive leadership position with full financial responsibility for manufacturing operations in Mexico.
  • Location in the Bajío region of Mexico.
  • The opportunity to directly influence business strategy, profitability, investments, and long-term growth.
  • Exposure to an international manufacturing environment and collaboration with senior global stakeholders.
  • The opportunity to shape financial strategies that drive business expansion, competitive positioning, and sustainable value creation.
