Job summary

HSBC Global Services Limited in Mexico City seeks an Americas Finance Assurance Control Tester to independently review end-to-end processes, risks and control environments. This role strengthens the Risk and Control Environment as part of the second Line of Defense, with continuous governance and timely escalation.

You will partner with regional teams to ensure SOX compliance and robust internal controls across the Americas.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of SOX 404 Internal Controls.
• Understanding of the COSO framework and related guidelines.
• Ability to engage with global business and process owners.
• Able to assess effectiveness of internal controls in finance.
• Fluency in English with strong business writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct walkthrough meetings with Process Owners and external auditors.
• Understand systems and functionality used by in-scope processes.
• Prepare month-end deliverables including SOX testing and issue highlighting.
• Manage control environment by raising awareness and monitoring.
• Facilitate risk and control assessments and identify key controls.
• Perform management reviews for high risk processes and share themes.
• Partner with regional control teams and global control office.
• Support the SOX controls framework including inventories and training.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders.
