Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc is seeking an Americas Finance Assurance Control Tester to independently review end-to-end processes, controls and risk environments. The role strengthens the control environment as part of the second line of defense, with regular assurance monitoring and governance.

You will build relationships across the United States and HSBC Finance community, influence outcomes, and participate in walkthrough meetings with Process Owners and External Auditors.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of SOX 404 Internal Controls and COSO framework.
• Ability to engage with global business and process owners to review processes.
• Understand processes, policies and procedures to assess internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent review of end-to-end processes and key control environments.
• Support strengthening of Risk and Control Environment as part of 2nd line.
• Build relationships across US and HSBC Finance community; influence outcomes.
• Conduct walkthroughs with Process Owners and External Auditors.
• Prepare month-end deliverables including SOX testing and issue highlights.
• Manage control environment to reduce incidents and ensure compliance.
• Support SOX framework including inventories, training and monitoring.
• Deliver risk assessments and share themes to prevent recurrence.
