General Motors in Mexico is hiring for a Production Group Leader to optimize personnel, materials and equipment usage on the factory floor. You will train, develop and evaluate hourly team members while building high-performance teams and implementing lean manufacturing and synchronous principles to improve productivity.

You will lead adherence to quality standards, safety and housekeeping, and ensure alignment with union agreements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Experience leading, supervising, or coordinating production personnel.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations, preferably in body shop or final line processes.
• Experience working with unionized personnel.
• Experience in quality and problem solving.
• Knowledge of dimensional processes and problem-solving methodologies; familiarity with quality and manufacturing operations.
• Desirable knowledge of welding processes.
• Intermediate conversational English and ability to read technical procedures in English.

• Participates in training, developing and evaluating hourly team members.
• Leads in developing highly effective teams.
• Leads Global Manufacturing Systems processes and supports launch activities.
• Meets production cost schedule and maintains quality requirements.
• Maintains quality standards and communicates quality goals.
• Builds relationships with employees, union and management.
• Understanding and application of national and local union agreements.
• Implements systems to prevent reoccurrence of known issues.
• Promotes safe work practices, ergonomics, health and safety, and housekeeping.
• Motivates and develops employees to perform their jobs using standardized methods.
• Ensures team members receive adequate JIT training.
• Achieves production schedules and product requirements using lean/synchronous principles.
• Coaches and mentors Group Leaders.
