Placements24 is seeking an energetic Facilitator for Community Development and Citizen Participation to join our Zapopan, Jalisco office. You will empower residents, work with local leaders and authorities, and help design grassroots projects that strengthen social fabric.

The role requires a degree in a related field and 3+ years in community work, with strong communication and facilitation skills. This hybrid position involves fieldwork and administrative tasks in Jalisco.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Social Work, Community Development, Public Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in community organizing, social work, or development facilitation.
• Proven experience in facilitating group processes and engaging diverse community members.
• Spanish language proficiency; knowledge of local indigenous languages is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
• Commitment to community empowerment and social justice.

Responsabilités

• Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and focus groups to identify needs and priorities.
• Engage residents and community stakeholders to encourage active participation in development initiatives.
• Support the formation and strengthening of community committees and local leadership groups.
• Assist communities in developing project proposals and action plans to address identified needs.
• Connect communities with relevant resources, technical assistance, and funding opportunities.
• Monitor the progress of community-led projects and provide ongoing support to participants.
• Promote understanding and collaboration between community members and local government entities.
• Organize awareness campaigns on issues related to community development and citizen participation.
• Document community activities, progress, and outcomes, preparing regular reports.
• Serve as a liaison between the organization and the communities it serves in Zapopan, Jalisco.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an energetic and community-oriented Facilitador/a de Desarrollo Comunitario y Participación Ciudadana for their **Zapopan, Jalisco** office.
