LEONI, a global leader in energy and data management for the automotive industry, seeks a Continuous Improvement professional in Hermosillo, Mexico. You will manage CI initiatives, define processes, and drive improvement projects with clear KPIs, ROI, and cross‑functional collaboration.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 3+ years in manufacturing or CI, plus advanced English. Onsite work with strong focus on standards and training to elevate plant performance.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing engineering or a related field.
• Production optimization and manufacturing operations management.
• Industrial engineering and manufacturing concepts, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
• 3+ years in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or continuous improvement.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and oversee Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives with KPI-based delivery.
• Define and maintain CI processes and work instructions across plant/country.
• Evaluate and prioritize improvement ideas with cross‑functional teams for feasibility and impact.
• Calculate and manage financial impact of CI initiatives including business cases, payback and ROI.
• Lead the CI Committee and promote a continuous improvement culture through campaigns and engagement.
• Manage CI tools and training, including idea management software and 5S/8 wastes induction.
• Ensure transfer of best practices within plant and across departments, segments, plants, and countries.

Job Description

• Manage and oversee Continuous Improvement (CI), ensuring that expected results are delivered on time and according to plan, based on KPIs M1 and M2.
• Define and maintain CI processes and work instructions, ensuring their proper implementation across the plant/country.
• Evaluate and prioritize improvement ideas, collaborating with relevant departments and CI committees to assess feasibility and potential impact.
• Calculate and manage the financial impact of CI initiatives, including business cases, payback and return on investment (ROI).
• Lead the CI Committee and promote a continuous improvement culturethrough CI campaigns, recognition programs, and employee and management engagement.
• Manage CI tools and training, including idea management software (CIP/LPI) and induction training such as 5S and the 8 types of waste.
• Ensure the implementation and transfer of best practices and ideas, both within the plant and across departments, segments, plants, and countries.

Qualifications and Experience

• Ensure compliance with legal, internal, safety, and environmental standardswithin the area of responsibility.
• Identify and report risks and opportunitiesto the direct supervisor or responsible leadership.
• Ensure and contribute to customer satisfactionby meeting customer expectations and requirements.
• Support LEONI’s financial targets and business resultsthrough effective and responsible execution of activities.
• Meet deadlines and quality requirements, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance with OPEX standardsand efficiently manage company materials and resources within the assigned area.
• Maintain order and cleanlinessin the workplace and ensure adherence to established workplace standards.
• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
