ASSA ABLOY is seeking an experienced ETL Developer in Guadalajara to design, implement, and optimize ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory and SSIS, integrating ERP data into data lakes, and migrating on-prem solutions to Azure.

The role requires strong MSSQL expertise, PySpark, Databricks, and real-time streaming knowledge. You will collaborate with data architects and ensure data quality for SaaS products, while working onsite in Mexico.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering with IT focus.
• 4+ years of IT experience focused on data warehousing, ETL development, and data modeling.
• 2+ years of data engineering with Azure services.
• 2+ years of DB development using MS SQL.
• Azure certification preferred; exposure to Microsoft Fabric is a plus.

Strong expertise in MSSQL, Azure Cloud Services, and data processing, along with excellent communication and multitasking skills, is essential for this dynamic role.This is an onsite role based in Guadalajara, Mexico.Summary of ResponsibilitiesA key member of the development team, this position focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing ETL processes, data integration, and modeling to enhance data reliability and quality for SaaS products.* ETL Development: Design and implement ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and SSIS to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources efficiently.* Data Pipelines & Orchestration: Strong experience in designing end-to-end data pipelines, including orchestration, dependency management, and monitoring using Azure Data Factory or similar tools.* Microsoft Fabric: Work with Microsoft Fabric components such as Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Pipelines to build modern, unified data solutions.* Fabric Optimization: Optimize workloads across Fabric (Lakehouse/Warehouse) environments for performance, scalability, and efficient data processing.* Real-Time Data Solutions: Develop real-time data streaming solutions with Azure Stream Analytics and Azure Event Hubs to support analytics and reporting.* Big Data Processing: Leverage PySpark and Databricks for large-scale data processing, ensuring scalability and high performance.* Collaboration and Modeling: Work with data architects and stakeholders to design and maintain data models and structures for efficient storage and retrieval.* ERP Integration: Implement seamless integration of ERP systems into data lakes, ensuring data flow and accessibility.* Optimization: Monitor and optimize SQL queries and data pipelines to enhance performance and minimize latency.* Data Quality: Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems to ensure data integrity and accuracy.* Cloud Migration: Participate in migrating on-premises data solutions to Azure, following best practices for security and compliance.* Continuous Learning: Stay updated on Azure features and data engineering practices to contribute to team improvements.**What we are looking for** This role requires expertise in MS SQL, Azure Cloud Data Services, schema design, and modeling tools, along with strong analytical, communication, and multitasking skills to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Education* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/EngineeringExperience* 4+ years of Information Technology experience with a focus on data warehousing, ETL development, and data modeling* 2+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on Azure services* 2+ years of DB development using MS SQLPreferred Qualifications* Proficient in SQL Server, SSIS, and Azure SQL Database* Strong programming skills in Python* Hands-on experience with PySpark and distributed data processing, including performance tuning and optimization in Databricks/Fabric environments* Experience working with manufacturing or industrial data (ERP, shop-floor systems, IoT data) is an added advantageTechnical Knowledge and/or Abilities* Proficient with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Stream Analytics* Strong understanding of real-time data processing and data streaming concepts* Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts including dimension modeling, ETL architecture, slowly changing dimensions (SCD), and data lifecycle management* Familiar with data modeling techniques (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema)* Azure certification (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate) preferred; exposure to Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Pipelines, and OneLake architecture) is a strong plus* Experience with SSIS or equivalent ETL tools for analyzing, designing, and developing ETL packages* Skilled in T-SQL, PL/SQL, and a programming language* Expertise in stored procedures, SQL performance tuning, and database query optimization* Ability to analyze SQL performance, load, and concurrent use issues in complex architectures* Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills* Flexibility to work overtime or weekends to meet deadlines* Ability to document processes and workflows for future reference**We are the ASSA ABLOY Group** Our people have made us the global leader in access solutions.
