Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Mexicali seeks an experienced Materials Planning Specialist ME4 to determine current and future raw materials and component needs to meet the master production schedule. You will provide timely inputs and collaborate with business units to keep materials flowing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 5 years of experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
• APICS knowledge and inventory control expertise.
• Demand balance and MIN MAX systems experience.
• Proven communication, teamwork and negotiation skills.
• Project management, coordination experience (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing is a plus).
• SAP proficiency and experience with MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develops strategic initiatives oriented to meet or exceed department goals.
• Responsible to ensure material availability based on production and demand forecasts; adjust MRP parameters.
• Handle part and engineering changes, avoiding obsolescence and material gaps per ECR, MCR or similar.
• Anticipate customer needs.
• Manage Min Max and discrete purchase as well as VMI accounts.
• Solve major situations related to procurement, material control and planning.
• Set controls and limits in metrics to avoid going out of control.
• Analyze and control materials according to inventory classification.
• Evaluate material forecast vs actual deliveries.
• Take leadership role when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
