Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced COE Manager to drive ERP implementation and standard cost reporting across manufacturing plants. You will lead the COE team delivering best practices, lean tools, and training to enable accurate perpetual inventory and efficient SCM setups.

You will oversee plant layouts, routings, cycle times, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring successful project delivery and measurable process improvements within the COE framework.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of management experience.
• 8+ years of manufacturing experience.
• ERP system implementation experience with active participation.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with MRP and ERP systems.
• Must be able to analyze and interpret complex procedures and write reports.
• Degree in Business or equivalent field; MBA preferred; APICS certification preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of computerized integrated information systems and manufacturing material flow; SAP experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and able to drive change across departments.
• Ability to communicate clearly and lead cross-functional teams through ERP initiatives.
• Extended knowledge of ERP business systems and experience as a business analyst.

Responsibilities

• Manage ERP systems and Manufacturing Engineering activities to implement ERP and report standard cost and perpetual inventory.
• Lead COE services for multiple departments from project start to closure.
• Provide best practices, research, support and training for COE focus area across BUs.
• Develop manufacturing plant layouts matching ERP systems including SCM setups and work centers.
• Validate drawings, develop routings with cycle times using lean tools (5S, standardized work, Kaizen).
• Provide feedback during validation to enable reporting of standard cost and perpetual inventory.
