Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a COE Manager to lead ERP and Manufacturing Engineering activities, ensuring full ERP implementation, standard cost reporting, and perpetual inventory across plants. You will drive best practices, training, and support for cross-functional teams and focus areas within the COE.

You will develop plant layouts, validate routings with cycle times, and apply lean tools (5S, standardized work, Kaizen) to accelerate project closures and improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field.
• 8+ years of Management experience.
• 8+ years of Manufacturing experience.
• ERP system implementation active participation.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with MRP and ERP systems.
• Must be able to analyze and interpret complex technical procedures, business periodicals, and journals as well as write reports and procedure manuals.
• MBA preferred though not required.
• APICS Certification preferred though not required.
• In-depth knowledge of computerized integrated information systems (manufacturing, materials management, production planning, procurement, finance and distribution) and a superior understanding of manufacturing material flow in a plant.

Responsibilities

• Lead ERP implementation across plants and ensure standard cost and perpetual inventory reporting.
• Manage ERP systems and Manufacturing Engineering activities to have the ERP system fully implemented and able to report standard cost and perpetual inventory.
• Provide best practices, research, support and training for COE services across multiple departments and projects.
• Develop and implement manufacturing plant layouts matching ERP systems including SCM setups and parameters, work centers, product families and routings with cycle times.
• Utilize lean manufacturing tools (5S, standardized work, Kaizen) and validate drawings during initial validation stage.
• Communicate findings and feedback during the validation phase to fix identified gaps.
