Corning Inc. in Reynosa, Mexico, seeks an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) professional to support safety and regulatory compliance across operations. Responsibilities include chemical management, incident investigations, and inspections of safety equipment.

Candidates should have a technical degree in related fields, ISO 45001 knowledge, and proficiency with Gensuite, Windchill, Shield, MAXIMO, and SAFE. English preferred, with strong urgency and service attitude.

Formación

• Technical degree in Environmental and Safety Engineering, Chemistry or related field.
• Associates or Bachelors Degree in a related area.
• ISO 45001:2018 knowledge and experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Support Operations and Auxiliary areas in Safety and Environmental management systems.
• Chemical management: provide GHS labels, SDS, and control of chemicals.
• Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis and CAPA actions.
• Regulatory studies related to STPS, Civil Protection, SEMARNAT.
• Perform inspections for fire extinguishers, eye wash, chemical cabinets, spill kits, ladders.

Provides semi-professional technical support in the field of environmental control. Works on assignments that are
moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine
recommendations. Encompasses processes and infrastructure for the supply of water, disposal of waste, control of
pollution, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies. Encompasses health and safety
management systems and compliance with health and safety regulatory agency requirements, company requirements
and facility requirements

Key Responsibilities

Support to Operations and Auxiliary areas in process related to Safety and Environmental management
system
b) Chemical management and Hazard communication: provide GHS labels, SDS and control of chemicals in
Operation and Support areas
c) Participate on incident investigations, root cause analysis and CAPA actions
d) Manage and perform regulatory studies related to STPS, Civil Protection, SEMARNAT
e) Execute inspections for fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, chemical cabinets, spill kits, ladders.
f) Evaluation, monitoring and signing of permits related to high risk and non-routine activities
g) EHS training for employees, contractors, and visitors
h) Onboarding for new employees (salaried)
i) Perform Safety inspections to identify unsafe behaviors and conditions
j) Management and execution of EHS awareness campaigns
k) Hazardous and non- hazardous management control
a. Manifest, logs and shipments
l) Monthly EHS inspections
m) Participate in the preparation of ISO 14001 & 45001 internal and external audits
n) Collaboration on GSS & ECC audit readiness (SME in some cases)
o) Elaboration of purchase requisitions related to EHS services and supplies
p) Perform hazard identification and risk assessments considering processes and machinery & equipment (JSA/
HIRA)
q) Emergency equipment control, inspections and acquisitions
r) Participate in management of change of specifics area requirements
a. Perform PSSR format
s) Participate in productivity and core team meetings
a. Elaborate presentations
t) Ergonomic assessments and follow up in corrective actions
u) PPE evaluation and monitoring
v) Contractor safety: pre- start up activities evaluation and awareness

Experiences/Education - Required

• Education:
  Technical career in Environmental and Safety Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
  Professional career (completed, unfinished or in progress) in Environmental and Safety
  Engineering, Chemistry or related field.
  1- 3 years in similar position
