Job description

Join our Electrical Systems Design team in Monterrey as an Engineer II and contribute to the development of Engineered-to-Order (ETO) electrical solutions for critical applications.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing electrical designs that can be successfully transferred into manufacturing, working closely with Project Management, Manufacturing, Sales, and customers. The position combines approximately 70% electrical design and engineering work with 30% collaboration and support on the production floor, providing hands-on exposure to how designs are assembled and implemented.

This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer who enjoys technical design, problem-solving, and working close to manufacturing.

What will you do?
  • Develop and modify electrical designs for low-voltage ETO solutions, ensuring designs can be effectively manufactured and assembled.
  • Create and maintain electrical drawings, schematics, layouts, and technical documentation using CAD tools.
  • Support engineering activities related to low-voltage instrumentation, automation and control systems, and communication protocols.
  • Translate project and customer requirements into detailed and practical engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Manufacturing, Sales, and customers to clarify technical requirements and resolve engineering issues.
  • Provide technical support to the manufacturing floor during the assembly, testing, and implementation of electrical designs.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and design-related issues and implement appropriate engineering solutions.
  • Support product configuration and engineering documentation through ERP systems, primarily SAP.
  • Ensure designs meet applicable technical, quality, safety, and manufacturing requirements.
What qualifications will make you successful?
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience or strong technical knowledge in low-voltage electrical systems, instrumentation, automation and control, or related electrical applications.
  • Experience with electrical design and CAD tools, such as AutoCAD or similar engineering design software.
  • Understanding of communication protocols and control systems.
  • Ability to read and develop electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to translate requirements into practical engineering solutions.
  • Ability to communicate in English at a basic/conversational level, particularly for technical discussions with internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams while maintaining a strong technical focus.
Nice to have
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience with Engineered-to-Order (ETO) products or projects.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP.
  • Experience working with Project Management teams or directly supporting customer projects.
  • Exposure to electrical/mechanical simulation or electromechanical design.
