Vertiv is seeking a Technical Writer in Monterrey, Nuevo León. You will be responsible for creating and editing customer-facing documentation including manuals and online help systems. This role involves significant collaboration with engineering teams to ensure clarity and accuracy in documentation.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of technical writing experience, a relevant degree, and proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite. A commitment to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Job Description

Responsible for researching, writing, and editing customer‑facing documentation such as user manuals, online help systems, and quick installation guides. Supports the Edge Thermal Product Line in the Thermal Management Business Unit. Provides support for senior writers across multiple business units and facilitates positive relationships with global business units, other product lines, departments, and OEM customers. With minimal supervision and limited product specifications, fully supports and manages local and remote documentation projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Understand, write, and edit various product documentation for advanced technology products in clear and concise English.
• Gather technical information proactively, research engineering information, and interview engineers and other technical personnel to ensure clarity, completeness, accuracy, and quality of documents created.
• Assemble documentation in correct Vertiv or OEM format, keeping structure, content, and organization consistent with established standards and styles.
• Develop product documentation for hardware and software applications per established standards, styles, and guidelines as assigned.
• Manage multiple complex project schedules across multiple product lines and business units simultaneously.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree in technical writing, professional writing, digital writing/communications, journalism, or English is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Fluent in and able to communicate, understand, and explain complex concepts in English.
• Experience with style sheets, style guides, and editing processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat DC Pro, Adobe InDesign, and MadCap Flare (or equivalent experience with a single‑source desktop publishing tool).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and editing skills with close attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated with a desire to be a team player and support team goals and mission.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, international team environment with multiple deadlines, multiple time zones, limited resources, and constant change.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with writing for localization and working with international teams.
• Familiarity with AI technology within the technical writing field.
• Experience with Smartsheet, CSS, XML, and XHTML.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Standard physical demands of office work.

Travel Requirement

0-10% travel.
