A leading manufacturing company located in Nogales, Sonora is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to develop automated control systems and prepare technical documentation for machinery. The ideal candidate should have over 3 years of experience in engineering automation, a bachelor's degree in engineering, and be fluent in Spanish with intermediate English skills. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on efficiency and quality.

Formación

  • 3+ years of engineering automation and/or engineering maintenance experience.
  • Capable of developing automated control systems and equipment documentation.
  • Ability to maintain professional knowledge and comply with health and safety guidelines.

This role is within Chamberlain Group's Nogales Plant Maintenance group. A successful incumbent is expected to i) Develop automated control systems for equipment and electrical designs, this include integrate, sensors, vision systems, robots, actuators, cylinders, HMI, PLC program, ii) Create equipment documentation (such as electrical schematics, work instructions for PM and CM, BOMs, manuals, AST, TPM), iii) Prepare reports, diagrams and technical charts to document efficiency of production machinery, preventive and corrective maintenance history; analyze trends and recommend improvements. Requires 3+ years of maintenance engineering and/or automation and a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.

  • Develop automated control systems for equipment and electrical designs, this include integrate, sensors, vision systems, robots, actuators, cylinders, HMI, PLC program.
  • Create equipment documentation (such as electrical schematics, work instructions for PM and CM, BOMs, manuals, AST, TPM).
  • Prepare reports, diagrams and technical charts to document efficiency of production machinery,
  • preventive and corrective maintenance history; analyze trends and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in the construction of fixtures and equipment.
  • Validate equipment by executing a predefined process.
  • Diagnose and repair electro mechanic equipment.
  • Attend service calls providing excellent customer service.
  • Analyze equipment failures to find root cause and prevent it to appears in future.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary core teams working on FMEAs, 8Ds, and other 6 Sigma initiatives.
  • Training maintenance team in new equipment to make sure they have knowledge and abilities to attend them.
  • Notify and develop CPR process for replacement or refurbish of machinery and equipment.
  • Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.

Experience:

3+ years of engineering automation and/or engineering maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communications and presentation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Office & SharePoint and MS Project Professional).
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and to learn and adapt to new business processes, technologies, and environments.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge in computer CAD, SolidWorks, schematic, and mechanical drawing.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical tools (know wiring color codes).
  • Intermediate experience using hand tools such as screw drivers, wrenches, drill bits, and a drill taper.
  • Intermediate knowledge in pneumatic, electric, mechanical, electronic, hydraulic gadgets.
  • Knowledge in SAP software.
  • Available to rotate shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th).
  • Direct contact with suppliers to services and quotes.
  • PLUS: Knowledge in operation of Manlift, Forklift, Pallet jack, etc.

Other:

• Proficient verbal and written skills in Spanish and intermediate English.
