Chamberlain Group México in Nogales, Veracruz, seeks an Associate Manager, Industry 4.0 to coordinate and mentor the Design, Automation, Digitalization and implementation of process improvement across hardware and software systems, instrumentation, and data management.

You will lead the Design & Automation team to create safe, stable process systems with competitive cost and optimum performance, and drive digital technology integration with robots, sensors and smart devices, guiding

Formación

  • Experience leading digitalization projects in manufacturing.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital technologies applied to manufacturing (IoT, Big Data, AI, automation).
  • Experience implementing MES and ERP systems.

Associate Manager, Industry 4.0 Chamberlain Group México•Nogales, Ver., Nogales (municipio), Ver.; Estado de Veracruz Llave, MX


Coordinate and mentors the Design, Automation, Digitalization and implementation of process improvement, considering Hardware and software systems, instrumentation, complex equipment, connectivity and data management. Leads the Design & Automation team to create safe and stable process systems with competitive cost and optimum performance. Creates and defines best practices standards for manufacturing processes and procedures. Uses data from manufacturing processes, CPK, Yield, Cycle times to improve process performance in safety, quality and cost. Lead the Engineering team to implement the strategic vision of the area and be responsible for overall Design & Automation engineering responsibilities within assigned areas. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities in the areas of digital technology, as well as the integration of these with physical systems (Robots, Sensors, Visual Factory and Smart devices). Identify and manage digitalization projects than lead us to the digital transformation of manufacturing operations, focus in creating value through predictive and prescriptive analytics supported by our own operations technology/automation development.


Responsibilities


  • Develop innovative solutions and systems to support strategic business area objectives.

  • Manage projects of critical importance related to major downtime, quality, or safety issues.

  • Determine and execute plans for a positive impact on the results and operational effectiveness of the assigned area

  • Supervise the implementation of production management systems such as MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning).

  • Lead and mentor team in Automation and digitalization processes, reviews and approve designs, quotes, purchases and implementation of fixtures, tools, workstation improvements and equipment

  • Mentors and leads the team to incorporate Quality Systems tools and information to incorporate them in new process design. Strictly follows up for implementation. improve Operational KPIs and/or solve quality related problems

  • Analyzes long term impact of new or anticipated strategies. Focus his experience in Problems Solving for systemic improvement activities and their root cause analysis

  • Guides and oversees his team to implement activities for NPD projects (ESL, MSL & Pilot runs, pre-production preparation, etc.). Implement productivity projects related to labor, overhead and material through engineering tools, process automation opportunities, relay outs, capacity increases, engineering changes, etc

  • Manage digitalization projects from planning to execution and the result evaluation

  • Train personnel in the use of digital tools and ensure their correct implementation

  • Motivate and lead a high-performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members

  • Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company’s policies

  • Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communications

  • Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the CGI mission, vision and values.


Education/Certifications: Mechatronics, Systems, Computer Science Engineering, or related career


Experience


  • 8 years of minimum experience in digitalization and project management

  • 5 years of Supervising experience


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


  • Previous experience in leadership roles in digitalization projects in the manufacturing sector.

  • In-depth knowledge of digital technologies applied to manufacturing. (IoT, Big Data, AI, automation)

  • Experience in implementation of MES and ERP systems


Other


  • Ability to work in a team and manage multidisciplinary projects

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence different levels of the organization
