International SOS Government Medical Services seeks an EMT-B to respond to emergencies, stabilize patients, and assist with routine clinic services on Diego Garcia. You will maintain equipment readiness and support critical transfers while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other responders.

You must hold EMT-B certification, have at least two years of EMT experience with BLS, and be able to relocate for the duration of the assignment.

Formación

• Current EMT-B certification or registration.
• Minimum of two years of EMT experience with BLS.
• High school diploma or equivalent; EMT-B training/certification approved.
• Ability to relocate to Diego Garcia for the assignment duration.
• Fluent in English for effective communication.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to emergencies, assess patients, and provide first aid, CPR, and AED use.
• Monitor and document vital signs and patient status during treatment and transport.
• Support ambulance operations, patient transfers, referrals, and medical evacuation coordination.
• Assist clinicians with patient assessments, urgent care, and health screening activities.
• Check equipment and supplies; ensure infection control and waste management procedures.
• Participate in mass-casualty drills, incident reporting, and coverage for emergencies.
