Coforge is seeking a Product Data Scientist to work onsite in Mexico City or Hermosillo. You will be the analytical backbone for a product team, shaping underwriting funnels, borrower experience, and growth.

You’ll translate messy data into evidence, build models, and instrument experiments that drive decisions with rigor. You will partner with Product Managers, design experiments, own metrics, and ensure robust data pipelines.

Formación

• Strong background in statistics and experimentation; hypothesis testing, causal inference, and experimental design.
• Fluent in SQL and at least one scripting language (Python or R), with data engineering fundamentals to build pipelines.
• Ability to develop, validate, and communicate tradeoffs of statistical and ML models.
• Experience using AI tools for exploratory analysis, documentation, and accelerating routine analytics.
• Clear consultant mindset: structure ambiguous problems and provide actionable recommendations.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with Product Managers as embedded data science resource, turning product questions into analyses and recommendations.
• Design, run, and interpret A/B and quasi-experimental tests across borrower funnels with statistical rigor.
• Define and own the metrics framework for the product line, including north-star and guardrail metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure event tracking and instrumentation is complete and accurate.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and models (SQL/dbt) for analyses and collaboration with data engineering.
• Develop and validate models supporting product decisions, with emphasis on fairness and regulatory context in lending.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis while applying human judgment for final decisions.
• Communicate findings with clear write-ups and visuals tied to product decisions.
• Contribute to planning and roadmap discussions by sizing opportunities and tracking measurement risk.
• Monitor performance post-launch and surface anomalies or new opportunities.
