Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an electrical engineer to contribute to the electrical analysis and development of water-cooled chiller components and systems. The role involves designing wiring diagrams, control schematics, and documentation, with collaboration across manufacturing and engineering teams.

You will troubleshoot issues, update ECNs/BOMs, and ensure designs are buildable and well-documented, while maintaining clear communication and project momentum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with electrical design, analysis, or engineering support for industrial or product systems.
• Ability to create and interpret electrical and control schematics.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and control circuits.
• Familiarity with process and machine control fundamentals.
• Experience preparing technical docs like wiring diagrams, ECNs, or BOMs.
• Strong communication and ability to manage requirements and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical analysis, design, and development for water-cooled chiller components and systems.
• Create and maintain wiring diagrams, panel diagrams, electrical schematics, and control schematics.
• Prepare instrumentation specs and detailed engineering documentation.
• Generate and update ECNs and BOMs with accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and debug electrical systems and design issues to resolution.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, design, and cross-functional teams to improve reliability.
• Provide clear documentation and timely communication to support decisions.
