Job summary

AMETEK Nuevo Laredo is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to work onsite and collaborate with the Atlanta team. The role supports electronic products through design changes, validation activities, manufacturing, and production issue resolution.

The engineer acts as a local technical liaison among Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and suppliers, delivering defined work independently and documenting results clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience with independent delivery.
• Professional fluency in English and Spanish, written and spoken.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and electronic loads.
• Experience with electrical tests, troubleshooting, and documenting results.
• Ability to work onsite independently while coordinating with a remote team in Atlanta.
• Familiarity with schematic capture, BOMs, ECAD change control, and controlled documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical engineering deliverables including design changes and validation activities.
• Support manufacturing and production by investigating electrical issues onsite.
• Update schematics, BOMs, engineering change orders, and release docs.
• Run design verification, validation, and reliability tests in the lab.
• Analyze results, document evidence, and drive issues to closure.
• Coordinate with Atlanta team via written and verbal updates.
• Work with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve production concerns.
• Communicate with local/regional suppliers on technical requirements and changes.
• Contribute input during design reviews and manufacturing-readiness sessions.
• Apply design, safety, quality, and regulatory practices; raise uncertainties early.
