Job summary

Daikin in Tijuana seeks an Electrical Engineer to design, validate, and implement electrical systems for custom HVACR equipment, ensuring safety, quality, and performance. You will create and maintain drawings, BOMs, and documentation using EPLAN Electric P8 and AutoCAD Electrical, and support cross-functional teams across manufacturing and field service.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics Engineering and at least 3 years of HVACR or industrial electrical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• 3 years experience in electrical engineering or electrical design for industrial, HVACR, or custom equipment applications.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, ladder logic, and point-to-point wiring diagrams.
• Working knowledge of EPLAN Electric P8 (intermediate to advanced): schematics, BOM, connection reports, and labeling.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems, select components, and develop BOMs and documentation using EPLAN Electric P8.
• Create and maintain electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using EPLAN and AutoCAD.
• Configure and validate electrical systems for safety, reliability, manufacturability, and compliance with applicable UL and NFPA standards.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and project teams to define electrical requirements and resolve design discrepancies.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align electrical designs and support successful project implementation.
• Support fabrication, commissioning, and troubleshooting, resolving electrical design and production issues through corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement, track First Pass Yield and On-Time Delivery, and contribute to engineering best practices.
