Oceanside Glasstile México in Tijuana seeks a skilled Electrical Engineer for maintenance of electro-mechanical systems. You will perform predictive, preventive, and corrective tasks, diagnose faults, and improve reliability while upholding safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include planning service activities, applying electrical codes, and supporting automation projects with PLCs (Allen Bradley) and AutoCAD documentation.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience on electrical and electromechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes (C.F.E. and NOMs) and safety standards.

Responsabilidades

  • Research, develop and test electrical/electronic equipment and systems.
  • Support integration of new technologies to improve reliability and reduce costs.
  • Diagnose failures and perform maintenance of electrical distribution systems.

General Summary

Responsible for provide an extensive expertise to service and support to glass manufacture process by maintenance variety of complex electrical, electromechanical systems and equipment under the philosophy of Reliability-Centered Maintenance applying safety, quality service, environmental and labor standards in force as well as current regulations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Researches, develops, modifies, designs, evaluate and test a variety of electric and electronic equipment and systems, including control and test equipment.
  • Support to integrate new technology, techniques and concepts to enhance functionality, simplify designs, improve reliability and reduce production costs.
  • Diagnose failures, repairs and/or maintenance electrical distribution system and verify the functional status of their different equipment.
  • Perform predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance to electrical and electromechanical systems.
  • Detection and correction of faults, breakdowns and deviations of electrical parameters (Harmonics, Dips, Swells, Transients, Power Factor, current unbalanced) which inflicts Power Quality problems.
  • Writing reports by compiling data, analyzing, and summarizing information trends.
  • Inspect and observe facilities to evaluate the efficacy and quality of electrical systems.
  • Planning the service to be performed, defining the stages and activities with safety procedures, quality conditions and meet electrical codes.
Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge in electrical systems and components as well as National Electrical Codes and regulations (C.F.E. and NOMs).
  • Experience shall include medium and low voltage power distributions, instrumentation and control systems, automatization and capable to performing load calculations and studies relating to power distribution systems.
  • PLC’s Programming (Allen Bradley).
  • Ability to develop good technical writing and solving problem skills.
  • Possess strong analytical skills to troubleshoot instrumentation.
  • Proficient in computer-assisted software (AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office.
  • Electric and electronic troubleshooting.
Position Type and Expected Work Hours
  • This position may require full time work, as a minimum, with extended hours, when necessary
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related.
  • 5+ years of experience in the areas of maintenance of electrical and electromechanical systems.
