Job summary

Baker Hughes seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to advance our HSE programs across the Monterrey facility. You will drive safe work practices, lead incident investigations, and support risk assessments while ensuring regulatory compliance and staff training.

The role requires an associate/technical degree with at least 3 years in industrial EHS, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Office. Local regulations and safety culture improvements will be key priorities.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree or equivalent HSE experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of Environmental, Health, and Safety in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety principles and risk assessment.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting safety training and awareness programs.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Basic English reading and communication skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and maintenance of EHS programs throughout the facility.
• Promote a strong safety culture by engaging employees and leaders in EHS initiatives.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and workplace assessments.
• Lead and support incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with regulations, standards, and company requirements.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors.
• Support risk assessments and job hazard analyses with mitigation measures.
• Maintain EHS records, permits, and documentation.
• Track and analyze EHS performance metrics and drive improvements.
• Partner with site leadership to drive continuous safety, health, and environmental improvements.
• Support emergency preparedness drills and response planning.
• Participate in internal and external HSE audits as required.
