Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an EHS Engineer STIVA 1 to support plant-level environmental, health, and safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive improvements to reduce risk and strengthen safety culture.

The role collaborates with operations, maintenance, engineering, HR, and contractors to conduct inspections, investigations, and documentation, while delivering training to promote responsible EHS practices on site.

Formación

• At least 3 years of experience in EHS within manufacturing, industrial, warehousing, logistics, or similar environments.
• Practical knowledge of EHS regulations, incident investigation, risk assessment, and corrective action follow-up.
• Experience supporting audits and managing EHS documentation, reporting, permits, or licenses. Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Strong communication, organization, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence safe behaviors at plant level.
• Intermediate English.

Responsabilidades

• Implement and maintain EHS, environmental, and occupational health and safety policies and programs within the site environment.
• Conduct routine inspections, audits, and walkthroughs to identify hazards, verify controls, and support corrective actions.
• Support incident, near-miss, and minor injury investigations, including root-cause analysis and follow-up on preventive actions.
• Monitor compliance obligations, regulatory updates, permits, licenses, and required documentation.
• Oversee EHS reporting and documentation in line with internal and external standards.
• Support training delivery for employees and contractors on EHS policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Support risk assessments, emergency preparedness drills, safety committees, and continuous improvement activities.
• Help strengthen site programs such as machine guarding, LOTO, PPE, contractor safety, and permit-to-work.
