Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking an inventive AI engineer/scientist to build AI-native industrial automation systems leveraging cutting-edge edge compute platforms. You will focus on real-time learning, reasoning, optimization, and autonomous operation within industrial environments, reporting to the Director AI and working in a hybrid setup from Austin, TX.

You will develop AI-native systems that reason and decide in real time, optimize processes, and coordinate across distributed assets while

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
Typically 5+ years of relevant experience.
Experience building AI-native industrial systems for real-time environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop AI-native industrial systems with real-time reasoning and decision-making.
Design adaptive process optimization and autonomous operational behaviors.
Enable continuous learning from operational data and edge AI deployment.
Collaborate with AI research, controls engineering, and embedded teams.
Implement AI solutions on edge compute platforms with GPU acceleration.
Ensure low-latency AI execution within industrial environments.
