Job summary

Tenneco is seeking a Director of Regional Portfolio Accounting to lead accounting operations, close processes, and controls across multiple locations. Reporting to the Americas Controller, you’ll partner with Cluster Leaders and Plant Controllers to drive accuracy, governance, and efficiency.

The role requires a CPA/CA/CMA or equivalent, 10+ years of accounting leadership, and strong US GAAP expertise. You’ll influence stakeholders, drive improvements, and mentor teams to excellence.

Qualifications

• CPA/CA/CMA or equivalent credentials preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with leadership of close activities.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Experience in multi-location, multi-entity controllership; PE and manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with shared services or outsourced accounting organizations preferred.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive issues to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations, financial close, balance sheet integrity and internal controls.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close activities and reviews.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies across locations.
• Coordinate with Shared Services, Internal/External Audit and other Finance stakeholders.
• Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Coach Plant Controllers and accounting teams to build accountability and controllership.
