Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Accounting and Finance.
• Controller experience required.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, accounting close activities, and internal controls.
• Experience in multi-location or multi-entity environments.
• Proven ability to partner with senior business leaders and influence cross-functional teams.
• Experience in manufacturing environments preferred.
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, corporate accounting policies, and internal controls.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity, accurate reconciliations, and reliable financial reporting.
• Provide accounting guidance to Plant Controllers and operational leadership teams.
• Review significant accounting matters, financial risks, reserves, and unusual transactions.
• Coordinate with Corporate Accounting, Shared Services, and internal and external auditors.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, standardization, and automation.
• Provide functional leadership and support the development of accounting and controllership teams.

About the Role

Tenneco is seeking an experienced Director, Accounting to lead accounting and controllership activities across a portfolio of manufacturing operations in Mexico.

This position will provide accounting leadership across our sites, partnering with operational leaders and Plant Controllers to ensure financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical accounting background, previous Controller experience, and the ability to influence stakeholders across a complex, multi-site organization.
