Flex is seeking a Director, Facilities in Guadalajara to lead a broad functional area, guiding managers in implementing efficient facilities management that meets company and government standards. The role reports to Sr Director, Facilities and focuses on strategic planning, budgeting, and policy development.

Responsibilities include directing multiple areas, collaborating with executives and customers, negotiating contracts, and developing HR strategies to recruit and retain talent.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or sciences is required or MBA preferred.
• Advanced experience in facilities engineering or related field, including management.
• Demonstrated skills in project planning and management.
• Excellent communication skills and networking abilities.
• Effective relational skills with ability to negotiate and influence positive outcomes.

• Partner with Senior Managers to establish corporate strategic plans and goals.
• Work on abstract and complex problems across functional areas of the business.
• Make final resolutions on administrative and operational matters and drive results.
• Develop policies and ensure budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
• Advise subordinate managers to meet schedules and resolve technical problems.
• Interact with executives and major customers regularly.
• Collaborate in contract negotiations and policy changes affecting operations.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Director, Facilities located in Guadalajara, North Campus. Reporting to the Sr Director, Facilities, the Director, Facilities will be in charge of guiding a broad functional area through several department managers for the implementation of complex activities related to the efficient management of facilities in order to ensure that buildings under the organization’s control meet the required company and government standards and regulations.

What a typical day looks like:

• Direct and control the activities of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, service groups through Director and Senior Managers with overall control for the direction of those assigned areas for planning, budgeting, implementing and maintaining costs, methods, and employees.
• Partner with other Senior Managers and other corporate partners and segments to establish corporate strategic plans and goals.
• Work on abstract and complex problems across functional areas of the business.
• Make final resolutions on administrative and operational matters and ensure effective achievement of operation’s goals.
• Develop methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Develop, modify, and implement company policies that affect immediate operation(s) and may also have company-wide effect.
• Ensure budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
• Act as advisor to subordinate managers to meet schedules, to achieve goals and/or resolve technical problems in accordance with established policies.
• Interact regularly with executives and/or major customers.
• To collaborate in contract negotiations or other matters for which influence skills are required.
• Establish and recommend changes to policies which affect subordinate organizations.
• Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or sciences; MBA is preferred.
• Advanced experience in facilities engineering or related field, including management.
• Demonstrated skills in project planning and management.
• Excellent communication skills and networking abilities.
• Effective relational skills with ability to negotiate and influence positive outcomes.
• Excellent ability to build and sustain positive and contributive working relationships with a wide range of functions.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Ability to read, investigate, and interpret the most complex documents.
• Ability to acknowledge effectively the most thoughtful inquiries or complaints.
• Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations.
• Ability to think strategically, define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
