Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director de Operaciones de Flota to lead Acapulco's transportation operations. This senior role oversees fleet safety, maintenance, route planning and vendor relationships to deliver reliable services.

You will manage budgets, drive cost savings, implement GPS/telematics, and lead drivers, dispatchers and maintenance teams while ensuring compliance with Mexican regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years of fleet management experience, with 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair and best practices.
• Familiarity with Mexican transportation laws, safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Proven ability to manage large budgets and drive cost savings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for fleet expansion, maintenance, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee daily fleet operations including dispatch, scheduling, and route planning.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with national and local regulations.
• Manage procurement, leasing, and disposal of fleet vehicles for cost efficiency.
• Lead and train drivers, dispatchers, and maintenance staff.
• Implement fleet technologies such as GPS tracking and telematics.
• Maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
• Analyze fleet data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies involving the fleet.
