Job summary

PwC México seeks a Technical Engineering Director to lead a portfolio of tax technology applications within the Acceleration Center Mexico. You will guide solution design, architecture decisions, engineering standards, incident response, and modernization across cloud-enabled platforms and AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• 15+ years of software engineering with progressive technical leadership.
• Experience leading 30+ engineers across multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of tax technology applications from design to production support.
• Own delivery balancing stabilization work with modernization efforts.
• Design end-to-end architectures for enterprise platforms and guide key decisions.
• Review critical designs and incident root causes to unblock teams.
• Drive QA, testing, release reliability, and observability practices.
• Establish local delivery ownership and move teams toward full accountability.
• Coach senior engineers and leads in delivery execution and problem solving.
• Identify tech debt and bottlenecks; shape remediation plans.
• Develop AI-assisted development workflows and automated testing capabilities.
• Track velocity, quality, health metrics, and inform roadmaps.
