Calorex in Saltillo, part of Ariston Group, is seeking a Direct Material Buyer to manage sourcing and procurement for direct materials supporting manufacturing. You will ensure material availability, drive cost optimization, maintain quality, and build strong supplier partnerships.

The role requires collaborating with Operations, Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Finance, leading contract negotiations, monitoring supplier performance, and mitigating supply risks to meet business objectives.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-4 years of procurement or direct materials purchasing experience in manufacturing.
• Advanced English and Spanish proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Manage supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply, quality performance, and effective communication.
• Support the negotiation and implementation of Group Procurement contracts and sourcing strategies.
• Lead local contract negotiations with designated suppliers to achieve cost, quality, and service objectives.
• Manage purchase order processing and ensure procurement data integrity.
• Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics, including cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
• Identify operational and financial supply risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Collaborate with Operations, Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Finance to align procurement activities.
• Support business continuity through proactive supplier management and supply chain risk assessment.

We are looking for a talented Direct Material Buyer to join our growing team in Saltillo. In this role, you will manage sourcing and procurement activities for direct materials that support our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for ensuring material availability, driving cost optimization initiatives, maintaining quality standards, and building strong supplier partnerships. Through effective supplier management, contract negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration, you will play a key role in achieving business objectives and strengthening supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply, quality performance, and effective communication.
• Support the negotiation and implementation of Group Procurement contracts and sourcing strategies.
• Lead local contract negotiations with designated suppliers to achieve cost, quality, and service objectives.
• Manage purchase order processing and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of procurement data.
• Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics, including cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
• Identify operational and financial supply risks and develop effective mitigation plans.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects to support business objectives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Operations, Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Finance, to ensure alignment on procurement activities and material availability.
• Support business continuity through proactive supplier management and supply chain risk assessment.

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-4 years of experience in a similar procurement or direct materials purchasing role within a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced English and Spanish proficiency (written and verbal).
• Understanding of market dynamics, sourcing strategies, and supplier landscapes.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience conducting supplier analysis and performance evaluations.
• Proven ability to manage and develop supplier relationships.
• Knowledge of manufacturing industry trends, supply chain processes, and market conditions.
• Knowledge of Purchase Price Variance (PPV) analysis and cost management principles.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SAP ERP Purchasing Module (MM) or comparable procurement systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business reporting tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment.
