Forvia seeks a Digital FES&P Engineer in Silao, Guanajuato, to drive plant digital transformation and optimize operational performance. You will lead digital tools deployment, coordinate training, and ensure alignment with global strategies and environmental standards.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in the industry.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Knowledge of control equipment and systems (programming, PLCs).
  • Experience using Lean Manufacturing tools.
  • Basic knowledge of Pull Systems and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
  • Basic knowledge of equipment and PLC programming.

Responsabilidades

  • Drive the digital roadmap and prioritize initiatives with budget considerations.
  • Ensure resources are allocated for digitalization and automation projects.
  • Lead and support champions in implementing standards defined by BG and FMC Division.
  • Define training needs for proper implementation of digital tools and coordinate training.
  • Monitor implementation progress and plant performance against roadmaps.
  • Share best practices and manage requests for equipment resources (CAD).
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and C-TPAT with a focus on Quality.
  • Develop and implement the Model Plant Digitalization Project (DMC, NEO, PREACTOR, MLEAN, ANDON, Palantir).
  • Monitor digitalization KPIs and collaborate to achieve targets.
  • Configure equipment for DMC, NEO, and MLEAN implementations.

Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The Digitalization Engineer is responsible for driving the implementation of projects related to the plant's digital transformation in order to improve operational performance in alignment with the Group, Business Group (BG), and FMC Division strategy. This is achieved through teamwork, continuous improvement, and employee development within the framework of the Forvia Excellence System (FES 4.0) and the Being Faurecia culture. In addition, the role promotes environmental stewardship in accordance with ISO 14001 requirements and customer requirements in compliance with the IATF standard. The main missions of the role are:

  • Drive the digital roadmap (including priorities, timelines, CAPEX, costs, and savings commitments included in the budget).
  • Ensure that resources are allocated as needed for digitalization and automation projects.
  • Lead and support champions in the implementation and continuous improvement of standards defined by the BG and FMC Division.
  • Define training needs for the proper implementation of digital tools and coordinate training activities with the manager of each area as appropriate.
  • Monitor implementation progress and operational performance (roadmap compliance, P&L impact, and plant performance indicators according to plant priorities).
  • Share best practices and ensure the management of requests for the resources required to acquire equipment (CAD).
  • Ensure compliance with the requirements of the implemented management systems, including IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and C-TPAT, with a focus on Quality.
  • Develop and implement the Model Plant Digitalization Project, including systems such as DMC, NEO, PREACTOR, MLEAN, ANDON, and Palantir.
  • Monitor key indicators related to the digitalization process (digitalization rate %) in collaboration with the Group or Division to ensure target achievement.
  • These responsibilities are illustrative and not limiting, and do not restrict the performance of other activities that may be required.
  • Configure equipment for the implementation of DMC, NEO, and MLEAN systems.
Your profile and competencies to succeed
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements: Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field. Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in the industry.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Knowledge of control equipment and systems (programming, PLCs, etc.).
  • Experience using Lean Manufacturing tools.
  • Basic knowledge of Pull Systems and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
  • Basic knowledge of equipment and PLC programming.
