KBR, Inc is seeking a Power Plant Control Technician to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize diesel power generation systems ranging from 1 MW to 4 MW. You will oversee instrumentation, PLCs, and SCADA, serving as SME for generator control and coordinating upgrades and commissioning with vendors.
The role requires ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and reliable power generation, with strong leadership to mentor site personnel and manage documentation for a demanding offshore
Formación
- Comprehensive knowledge of diesel power generation systems (1,000 kW – 4,400 kW).
- Understanding of NEC, NFPA, OSHA and related standards.
- Experience with power plant instrumentation, control systems, PLCs, and SCADA.
Responsabilidades
- Coordinate safe operation and maintenance of diesel generators and associated control systems.
- Oversee inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
- Serve as SME for control/instrumentation; coordinate with manufacturers on upgrades and commissioning.
- Review new installations for compatibility and coordinate contractor activities.
- Ensure documentation, logs, and records meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain compliance with safety/environmental standards; support stand-by rotations.
