ON.energy is seeking a SCADA Engineer to own core Ignition configurations (tags, UDTs) and MQTT communications for battery energy storage and grid-connected assets. You will integrate with PLCs using MQTT, Modbus, OPC UA, and DNP3, while building tools to accelerate configuration, deployment, and validation.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• 2-5 years of hands-on Ignition experience including tag configuration, UDT setup and device connections.
• Experience with SCADA systems, MQTT, Modbus, OPC UA, and DNP3.

Responsabilidades

• Configure and maintain SCADA tags, UDTs, and device connections in Ignition across sites.
• Design and maintain MQTT-based communication and broker configuration for SCADA.
• Integrate SCADA with PLCs and field devices using MQTT, Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC UA, and DNP3.
• Build tools to support HMI and controls teams for fast SCADA configuration, deployment, and validation.
• Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency, performance, and reliability of SCADA deployments.
• Troubleshoot SCADA and communications issues in development and live environments; provide field support.
• Support commissioning activities including alarm validation and system testing.
• Document SCADA standards, tag maps, and MQTT topic structures for long-term maintainability.
