Flex Guadalajara, North Campus is seeking a Design Quality Engineer to ensure supplier quality and overall performance of the supply base. You will drive risk management, continuous improvement, and compliance with customer requirements and environmental standards.

The role requires a B.S. in Industrial Engineering or similar, plus experience in electronics manufacturing quality, SMT, and strong leadership.

Responsabilidades

• Collects supplier expectations and contributes to policy, operating procedures and goals for supplier quality.
• Evaluates factors related to suppliers and components, including regulations, cost of quality and risk.
• Collaborates with material/purchasing teams to establish supplier quality requirements.
• Leads SQE to evaluate, develop and monitor suppliers for safety, quality and delivery.
• Measures supplier performance and drives problem solving and continuous improvement.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Design Quality Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

The Design Quality Engineerrole is responsible for ensures quality, safety, capability, delivery, environmental, and customer-specific requirements. This role drive continuous improvement, risk management, and overall performance of the supply base.

What a typical day looks like:

• Collects and comprehends external and internal customers’ expectations or feedback on supplier quality and participates with other top management personnel and cross functional teams in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, innovation plans, and goals for supplier quality.
• Explore, evaluates, and presents information concerning factors related to suppliers and components such as new regulations, cost of quality, suppliers’ risks, supplier’s performance, and proposals to other members of management team.
• Participate with material or purchasing team to establish the supplier quality requirements.
• Guide SQE team to evaluate, develop, and monitor suppliers and components to ensure they comply with Flex requirements and customer requirements on safety, quality, capability, delivery, environment, society regulation, etc.
• Guide SQE team to measure and track suppliers’ performance and to drive problem solving and continuous improvement.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• BA/BS as an industrial engineer, or similar.
• Strong background in supplier quality engineering within the electronics manufacturing industry.
