Flex is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in Guadalajara, North Campus, Mexico. The role reports to the Quality Manager and focuses on implementing quality engineering programs, standards, and improvements, including NPI validations.

The ideal candidate will manage supplier selection and qualification, PPAP, and pilot run tracking to ensure supplier performance meets customer requirements.

Formación

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced English (Written & Spoken).
• Strong experience in supplier claims.
• Experience managing risk inventories.
• Experience with metal-mechanical and electronics suppliers.
• Demonstrates advanced operations, technical and people and/or process skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.

Responsabilidades

• Select suitable suppliers with joint sourcing on quality, capability, pricing, delivery, environment, and regulatory compliance against customer requirements.
• Implement the new supplier qualification through capability matching, risk assessment, self-assessment, onsite audits, and database management.
• Understand customer drawings and specs to propose value-added engineering to optimize supplier processes or products.
• Implement PPAP (FAI) including FAI, material certificates, control plan, FMEA, MSA, RoHS, reliability tests, COC.
• Track quality in pilot runs and drive supplier corrective actions to mass production.

If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Supplier Quality Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role involves responsibilities to implement and maintain quality engineering programs, standards and improvements within the organization. Will also be in charge of NPI processes validations.

What a typical day looks like:

• Supplier Selection---Select the suitable supplier with jointed-effort of sourcing on aspects of quality, capability, pricing, delivery, environment, society regulation, etc. against customer requirements.
• Supplier Qualification---Implement the new supplier qualification thru the process of capability matching, supplier risk assessment, supplier self-assessment, onsite qualification audit, qualification database management.
• VEA (Value-Added Engineering Activity) ---Understand customer drawing, specification to feedback value-added engineering proposal to customer and supplier for optimization of supplier manufacturing process or products.
• Material (Component) Qualification---Implement PPAP (FAI). PPAP include FAI, Material Certificates, Quality/Process Control Plan, FMEA, MSA, Process Parameter Sheet, RoHS compliance, Reliability Test, COC, etc.
• Pilot Run Tracking---Track the new qualified parts quality performance to ensure meet the customer quality requirements in pilot run phase. Drive supplier corrective action from supplier in Pilot Runs (1-3 lots) and smoothly transfer the pilot run to mass production.
