Job summary

Valmont Industries in Apodaca, Nuevo León, Mexico, is seeking a Design Drafter to join the Telecom Engineering group. You will interpret customer orders, prepare 2D and 3D drawings, and support manufacturing with clarity and accuracy across departments.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, or similar; fluency in English; and hands-on CAD experience with 3D modeling, AutoCAD, and Inventor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Architecture or similar.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).
• Hybrid schedule may be possible; initial 6 months in office five days per week.
• Technical CAD skills and 3-D modeling experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD 2021 and Inventor 2021.
• Reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret customer order information.
• Prepare 2-D and 3-D drawings based on specifications.
• Interface with other departments to resolve design issues.
• Travel occasionally to the US for collaboration.
• Review contract drawings and support manufacturing plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and filing of customer requirements.
