Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a Data Analytics Platform Architect in Jalisco to build foundational data infrastructure supporting ingestion, sourcing from distributed systems, and data management.

The role blends technical acumen with collaboration to administer, manage, and support the analytics platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive SQL, Snowflake, and AWS experience, with a track record in data pipelines, hybrid cloud design, and scalable analytics solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IaC, Data Platform, Data Engineering, AWS experience & delivering BI and analytics solutions
• 7+ years of IT industry experience
• 5+ years of experience with Python, Shell Scripting
• 5+ years hands-on with Snowflake platform implementation, administration, and optimization
• Experience with AWS services: IAM, S3, KMS, CloudFormation, EKS
• Terraform, Git, Jira
• Strong SQL skills including subqueries and data shaping
• Proven ability to troubleshoot data pipelines and production issues
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Ability to coordinate incidents and drive resolutions

Responsibilities

• Design and build real-time analytics solutions with industry-standard technologies
• Keep stakeholders informed across organizations and levels
• Monitor data resources and applications for platform health and performance
• Develop scalable, extensible, high-availability platforms for large data volumes
• Collaborate with infra, data engineering, analysts, and operations to define requirements
• Craft and maintain analytics data platform on hybrid cloud infrastructure
• Foster innovation through R&D within the platform
• Build self-serve tooling for the analytics platform
• Partner with infra teams to influence decisions
• Collaborate with data ops to monitor and alert on platforms
• Proactively manage platform costs across hybrid cloud environments
• Coordinate with auditors on platform security initiatives
• Document technical specs from business communications
