Job summary

Capgemini Mexico is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Spark on Azure Databricks. The role requires 3+ years in data engineering, strong Python skills, and a solid ETL/ELT foundation.

You will collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to ensure reliable data for analytics and reporting. Remote/hybrid work options are available; familiarity with Power BI and Azure DevOps is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related role.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience with Azure Cloud Services, especially in Azure Data Factory.
• Ability to review monitoring reports and create PBIs for fixes.
• Focus on system maintenance.

Your role

Seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer with expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF) to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure services. You will work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and optimized for analytics and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot root causes of failures in pipelines built with Azure Data Factory.
• Review team monitoring reports to identify issues and create corresponding User STpries / PBIs for resolution.
• Monitor the status of Databricks jobs and ADF pipelines.
• Understand the concepts of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes.
• Work with Azure Cloud Services, Azure Data Factory and Python / SPARK (we use Azure Databricks).

Your profile
