Job summary

Kapsch TrafficCom AG is seeking a Database Engineer to design, implement, and optimize data layers across transactional systems and data warehouses. You will craft robust schemas, develop SQL Server objects, and build data services with C# and Entity Framework, while collaborating with business analysts to shape KPIs and reporting needs.

The role involves ETL automation with SSIS, OLAP/SSAS modeling, and creating reports with SSRS and Power BI to enable analytics across critical applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining databases, Data Warehouses, and BI solutions.
• Experience building data repositories and services using C# and Entity Framework.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and web services integration.
• Hands-on experience with SQL development, query tuning, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain logical and physical database schemas for transactional systems and Data Warehouses.
• Develop SQL Server objects: tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Build and maintain data repositories and services using C# and Entity Framework.
• Develop ETL processes using SSIS and other data integration tools.
• Create and maintain OLAP and tabular models with SSAS.
• Develop reports and dashboards using SSRS and Power BI.
• Optimize T-SQL queries and ETL pipelines for performance.
