BRP is seeking a Junior Cybersecurity Operations Specialist to monitor, detect, investigate and respond to threats across the IT environment in Querétaro. You will support security operations by analyzing events, managing incidents, and maintaining security tooling to protect systems and data.

You’ll work with SIEM, XDR and EDR, perform routine vulnerability checks, help maintain playbooks, and escalate complex issues to senior engineers.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience.
• Technical and conversational English required.

Responsabilidades

• SIEM - Monitor networks, systems, and applications for security alerts or anomalies.
• IAM - manage basic tickets investigation.
• XDR - Triage and handle basic security issues and support initial incident response tasks.
• VM - Assist in running routine vulnerability scans and verifying system patches.
• Maintain and update security documentation, configurations, and SOPs.
• Escalates complex threats to senior engineers.

The Junior Cybersecurity Operations Specialist is responsible for monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity threats across the organization's IT environment. This role supports the Security Operations by analyzing security events, managing incidents, maintaining security tools, and helping protect critical systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.

POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Junior Cybersecurity Operations Specialist is responsible for monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity threats across the organization's IT environment. This role supports the Security Operations by analyzing security events, managing incidents, maintaining security tools, and helping protect critical systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.

Role & Responsabilities

• SIEM - Monitor networks, systems, and applications for security alerts or anomalies using established tools.
• IAM - manage basic tickets investigation
• XDR - Triage and handle basic security issues and support initial incident response tasks.
• VM Assist in running routine vulnerability scans and verifying system patches. [CVE]
• Maintain and update security documentation, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
• Executes established procedures and operational playbooks.
• Escalates complex threats, anomalies, or policy violations to senior engineers.
• Decision-making authority is limited to routine system administration and clearly defined, self-contained tasks.

Technical Skills

• Fundamentals for:
  • OSI Model,
  • EDR tools,
  • basic Windows/Linux administration
• IT ticketing workflows.
• core security concepts.
• introductory scripting (Python, Bash)
• Analytical approach to resolving critical faults under pressure.
• Rigorous approach to software/hardware implementation and debugging.
• Openness to new technologies, artificial intelligence and digital tools.
• Strong sense of responsibility in adhering to industrial safety standards.

• Continuous improvement on learning functional and technical documents

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree related to the area
• 1 to 3 years of experience
• Technical and conversational English, essential for understanding manuals and software.
