BRP in Mexico is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Operations Specialist to monitor, detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats across the IT environment.

You will lead incident response, tune security controls, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with manufacturing teams on secure practices.

This role requires strong experience in SIEM, IAM, EDR, and OT/ICS security, with English proficiency and a track record on production floors.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 6+ years of cybersecurity experience.

Responsabilidades

• Implement and tune advanced security controls (Firewalls, SIEM, IAM, EDR).
• Conduct security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments for new projects.
• Lead incident response for data breaches and network compromises.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and Trainees/Interns.
• Consult cross-functionally with development and IT teams on secure coding and infrastructure practices.
• Make independent technical decisions regarding system configurations, tool deployments, and risk mitigations.
• Act as Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for specific security domains or implementations.
• Have operational authority to isolate compromised IT systems, block malicious traffic, or halt unsafe deployments.
• Architect and manage the IDMZ at Purdue Level 3.5.
• Deploy and benchmark edge firewalls for industrial protocol inspection.
• Map operational threats using MITRE ATT&CK for ICS framework.
• Execute non-disruptive, highly controlled vulnerability assessments during plant downtimes.

• The Senior Cybersecurity Operations Specialist is responsible for monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity threats across the organization's IT environment. This role supports the Security Operations by analyzing security events, managing incidents, maintaining security tools, and helping protect critical systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.

Role & Responsabilities

• Implement, and tune advanced security controls (Firewalls, SIEM, IAM, EDR).
• Conduct security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and deep vulnerability assessments for new projects.
• Lead incident response for data breaches and corporate network compromises.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers & Trainees/Interns
• Consult cross-functionally with development and IT teams on secure coding and infrastructure practices.
• Makes independent technical decisions regarding system configurations, tool deployments, and immediate risk mitigations.
• Acts as a Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for specific security domains or implementations.
• Has the operational authority to isolate compromised IT systems, block malicious traffic, or halt unsafe deployments to protect the environment. enforce access revocation.

Technical Skills

• Deep expertise in specialized domains (e.g., network defense, forensics, cloud security), Proficiency in automation,
• Strong operational understanding of compliance and control frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
• Advanced engineering in SIEM, MDR, IAM, VM
• Advance knowledge in Cloud security architectures
• Deep knowledge of enterprise MITRE ATT&CK tactics.
• IACS network design, deep understanding of legacy vulnerabilities (CWEs) in embedded systems,
• Translating IT security controls into safe OT equivalents.ISA62443. ISA95
• Standardization and location flexibility
• Strong sense of responsibility in adhering to industrial safety standards.
• Cultural Adaptability & Linguistic Clarity due Collaborating with different organizational areas

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree related to the area
• 6+ years of experience
• Technical and conversational English, essential for understanding manuals and software.
• Experience working in direct contact with Manufacturing production floor
